Ecclesiastical Oversight & Spiritual Stewardship

The Holy Spirit Church and Columbarium stands as a living testimony to a mission that began decades ago—a mission rooted in faith, friendship, and a shared vision between the Dizon family and the PACEM Missionaries, with the blessing and support of the Diocese of Antipolo.

This spiritual journey began with Fr. Leonardo Polinar, the beloved founder of PACEM and a close spiritual advisor to the Dizon family. Through the years, the family opened their home to PACEM’s early members, supported their formation, and helped secure their Mission House in Binangonan. When development plans in Binangonan met obstacles, the dream was carried forward to Taytay, where a new chapter would begin.

The name “Holy Spirit” was chosen by PACEM to reflect their inspiration, mission, and abiding faith in the Third Person of the Holy Trinity.

Diocese of Antipolo

The Diocese of Antipolo under the leadership of its bishop shares canonical supervision and spiritual authority over the Holy Spirit Church. As a recognized Roman Catholic ecclesiastical territory, the Diocese provides:

  • Sacramental legitimacy and adherence to Canon Law
  • Guidance on church doctrine, liturgy, and pastoral mission
  • Oversight in religious, operational, and ecclesiastical matters

Upon completion of the construction, the Holy Spirit Church will be formally turned over to the Diocese of Antipolo, reinforcing its role as a sacred space within the diocesan territory. The Diocese also holds co-ownership of the church and upholds its mission to provide a place for worship, remembrance, and the deepening of Catholic faith in the Eastern Rizal area.

The PACEM Missionaries

The PACEM Missionaries—short for Pastoral Assistance and Community Education Mission—is a religious society of apostolic life of diocesan right, formally approved by the Vatican on September 26, 2018. This milestone came just a day after the passing of Fr. Polinar, who left a legacy of over 30 ordained PACEM priests and numerous servant communities worldwide.

PACEM’s mission is shaped by its name, Pacem, the Latin word for peace.

Upon the completion of construction, PACEM will take up spiritual residency at the Holy Spirit Church, continuing Fr. Polinar’s legacy of walking humbly with God, and fostering a vibrant community of faith, prayer, and mission.
